Expectations of student with disability living in off-campus student housing in Ghana: a Gap Model approach

Purpose Previous students' housing studies have neglected the need to study all-inclusive student and quality of services delivery among students with disability. This explores expectations in university living disabilities (SWDs) Ghana. Design/methodology/approach The adopted a mixed-methods approach, involving 423 SWD selected from five public three private universities across Grounded on Gap Model, employed exploratory factor analysis extract factors service universal building design for off-campus housing. Findings uncovered that, regarding specifications hinges more inbuilt than external environment designs. are interested safety, health, managerial assurances security. In all, provided huge gap delivered by Practical implications Model technique offers framework that provides an insight investors, managers, researchers local authorities needs housing, thus making it possible attain satisfactions amongst SWD. Originality/value Unlike health-related deals buildings persons disability hospitals, this uniquely support Ghanaian context.
